Lecia Barker has been awarded $50,000 by the National Science Foundation Office of Cyberinfrastructure to evaluate their initiative to diversify the user base of the TeraGrid. The TeraGrid integrates high-performance computers at several locations in the U.S., data resources and tools, and high-end experimental facilities to advance scientific research. The one-year Pathways project is intended to diversify the academic fields that use the resources, the race and ethnicity of users, and the size of resource allocations of users. Dr. Barker will lead the evaluation of usefulness and usability of TeraGrid resources, capacity building of users, and awareness building.
