The iSchool at TLA
The annual TLA conference attracts thousands of attendees, practitioners,
educators and vendors. This year's conference at San Antonio in March
brought together numerous faculty, students, alumni, and even a few ex-deans
for the occasion. As usual, staff and students worked tirelessly at the
iSchool's booth bringing alumni up to date on the School, recruiting new
students and generally getting the message out about the quality of our
program.
The Alumni Dinner proved an extremely lively affair with more than the usual
number of deans in attendance as both Roberta Shaffer and Brooke Sheldon
joined us at Rosarios. Other special guests that evening included ALA
Presidential Candidate Barbara Stripling, and Executive Director of the
Tocker Foundation, Daryl Tocker.
Next year TLA comes to Austin! Expect an even stronger iSchool presence
there.
