School of Information Teaching Team to Present at Educause

The INF 312 "Information in Cyberspace" teaching team of doctoral students Sam Burns, Lori Eichelberger and Patrick Williams, and lecturers Carlos Ovalle, Kayla Jackson, and Quinn Stewart will be presenting on Thursday February 17th at 2:30 PM at the Educause Southwest Regional Conference at the Omni Austin Hotel Downtown in Austin, Texas. Their presentation on "Scaling Information in Cyberspace: A Framework for Developing Online Instruction to Meet the Demands of Large Classes" will describe their experiences with collaborative teaching and the development of a scalable system of multilevel student support that has allowed them to expand INF 312 to serve approximately 200 students in an online environment. Their presentation was the only one accepted from the UT System in the "IT, Learning, and Teaching: What Works?" track at the conference. For more information, please see the conference Web site at http://www.educause.edu/swrc05 and the INF 312 site located at http://echo.ischool.utexas.edu.
