Don Davis receives Distinguished Alumnus Award

Donald G. Davis Jr., professor of library history, received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana's Graduate School of Library and Information Science at a reception at the American Library Association Annual Conference on 27 June 2004. A doctoral graduate in 1972, Davis was recognized for having "made an outstanding contribution to the field of library and information science." He joins previous recipients of the award that, since its inception in 1987, include Edward Holley, Jesse Carney Smith, Robert Wedgeworth, and Barbara Ford, among others.
