Speaker: Carolyn Stark

Our convocation speaker is Carolyn Stark, the President and CEO of the Austin Technology Council. Stark joined ATC in November of 2002, and has reshaped the Council to meet the needs of Austin's high tech companies in the post-boom economy. ATC defines its purpose as fostering the growth and success of the technology industry in Austin and Central Texas.

Prior to ATC, Ms. Stark ran self-funded programs at both UT Austin and at Stanford University. At UT Austin, she worked closely with industry in the design and delivery of e-learning and ongoing education and training programs for the College of Engineering. Before being recruited to come to The University of Texas in late 1998, Ms. Stark was at Stanford University for ten years as Director of Business Development and Marketing for the Stanford Center for Professional Development (SCPD).
