Faculty member addresses AIDS education in South Africa

School of Information Professor Bill Lukenbill delivered a paper entitled "HIV-AIDS, Community, and School Libraries" at the 32nd. Annual Conference of the International Association of School Librarianship meeting in Durban, South Africa, July 7-11, 2003. His paper, given at one of the major sessions of the conference, was based on research that he has conducted over the last decade and suggests ways that schools librarians can address the growing challenge of HIV-AIDS. The conference was attended by well over 500 school librarians and educators from over 25 countries.
