At the School of Information, we are committed to answering the pressing information questions of our times and educating the professionals who will ensure information's continuity, usability, reliability, and accessibility, now and into the future.
Our focus is on information in its socio-technical contexts. Across individuals, organizations and cultures, information now extends beyond traditional agencies of collection, creating new challenges for access, use, curation, and organization. Our values are human-centric, we believe information is a social resource that can only be exploited through design and management that builds on deep understandings of human needs and behavior. Our work aims to enhance access and use, wherever people search for, read and store the human record.
