Carlos Ovalle's Honestly Intentionally Simple
Site
My name is Carlos Ovalle. I am a full time member of the technology
staff, a lecturer, and a doctoral student at the University of Texas at
Austin School of Information. I manage the IT Lab
with the help of the
great graduate students who are really responsible for its success.
I also do general tech support, licensing, compliance, and the great
catch-all of "other duties as assigned." I am an American Library
Association Copyright Scholar. I have been the faculty advisor for the
UT Anime Club. I am lucky
enough to be married to Holly Ovalle.
I am not at the dissertation stage yet, but I am planning to write about the effects of copyright law on the missions and practices of
public and cultural institutions such as schools, libraries, archives, and museums.
